Robert tragically passed away earlier this year after a rescue attempt, saving a stranger's dog on the North Saskatchewan river. A public memorial honouring his life and legacy will be held in Buena Vista Park on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Robert's story has affected many people within the community and beyond. For those who knew Robert, his heroism was no surprise. In addition to a speaking program and personal reflections, the event will include music, food trucks, a gallery of Robert's sculptural work, and the opportunity to create memorial art.
