Traffic Jam Concerts On Fridays at Five (at First!) Presents Beethoven’s Archduke Trio

Edmonton, AB Friday, February 1, 2019, 5 – 6pm [image: Traffic Jam Concerts On Fridays at Five (at First!) Presents Beethoven's Archduke Trio] Traffic Jam Concerts on Fridays at Five (at First!) are back! Take in a concert instead of battling the traffic to drive home. Or drive into the city for an hour of music at 5 pm on each or both the first Fridays of February and March. The Archduke Trio is hailed as the greatest of all music for the combination of piano, violin, and 'cello. In musical depth and expression, it can be compared to the Eroica Symphony which is also from Beethoven's so-called middle period. The trio set the standards and paved the way for 19th Century trios by Mendelssohn, Schumann, Dvorak, and Brahms. Jennifer Bustin, Marnie Giesbrecht, and Josephine van Lier bring virtuosity, musical maturity, and great team work to their performance. Admission is free and donations are welcome for the First Presbyterian Floyd Fourney Refugee Fund. Parking for concert-goers is available and free of charge during the event.
