Edmonton, AB Sunday, December 16, 2018, 7 – 9pm [image: GLORIA 2] Gloria II – December 16, 7:00 p.m. First Baptist Church First Baptist Church Choir will be presenting our annual Christmas Concert on Sunday evening, December 16 at 7:00 p.m. In this concert centering around the theme of "Gloria," we will explore various settings of the text, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, goodwill to those whom God favours." This song was sung by a host of angels gathered around archangel Gabriel to a group of shepherds, and it is a text composers have been setting for centuries. As we prepare for the story of the angels, we seek to understand the reason behind the unique announcement given to the shepherds, by also singing a few pieces about the birth of Jesus. And, of course, we can't forget about the shepherds. Come, hear this story through a wide variety of music. While admission is free, we would ask you to consider donating to our Organ Restoration Fund. Our organ underwent a complete restoration in 2016, and it's better than ever!
