This semi-formal dinner and dance begins at 5:30pm at St Basil's Cultural Centre (10819 71 Avenue) on February 10, 2018. For over 30 years, the Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton has pursued the objective of developing, promoting, and fostering a greater appreciation of the traditions of Ukrainian choral singing. Besides singing in many cities in Canada, the chorus travelled to Poland and Western Ukraine in 2002, to Australia in 2008, and returned to Ukraine in 2011 for a concert tour, also performing in Poland and Austria. The Don Berner Big Band is comprised of some of Edmonton's finest working music professionals and plays a gamut of toe-tapping and awe inspiring material from classic big band fare to jazzy takes on contemporary top 40, and the most convoluted and challenging of art music.
