Change For Climate Talks

Thursday, December 7, 2017, 5:30 – 9pm [image: Change For Climate Talks] The concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the highest it has been in 3 million years. Shocking, isn't it? We think so. While many of us associate climate change with unpredictable weather, it can also bring countless other challenges including higher food prices and natural disasters. On December 7, 2017, Edmonton will host 'Change for Climate Talks', an inaugural event to inspire Edmontonians to take action. By making small changes to our lifestyles, homes, workplaces, transportation, and even food choices, together we'll help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Eleven leaders from Edmonton's arts, business, sports, food, media and faith communities will take the stage at the Art Gallery of Alberta to discuss the threat of climate change, why it's happening and what it means for our City and the world. Each speaker will present a 7-minute talk on topics ranging from home efficiency to community initiatives. The talks will also be recorded and made available for all of us to enjoy after the event.
