10209-123 Street, Edmonton Saturday, May 28, 2016, 11am – 3pm The Oliver Community Festival gets underway at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 28th. Reimagined as a street party, the event is jointly sponsored by the Oliver Community League, 124 Street Business Association and is hosted by Robertson-Wesley United Church. For four hours, vibrant DJ music and smiles will brighten the corner of 123 Street and 102 Avenue and from noon until 2:00 PM. Master burger-makers from the renowned burger bistro Relish will provide a BBQ consisting of two beef sliders and some kettle chips … for only $5. One of the highlights of the event will surely be the creation of a special very large community art piece that attendees will help to create, and that will be permanently displayed in Oliver community. Join in the fun, meet some neighbours, bring your friends and family out for the opening ceremonies at 11:00 AM when dignitaries will launch the event. Preregister to perform a karaoke song or share your talents. You can create a party hat to bring with you and then take part in the creation of a photo collage. Test your mind with puzzles, a balloon guess and a jelly bean guess. Come out and dance to the music!
