Solitary bees, unlike social bees, are not aggressive, and are very efficient pollinators. We depend on pollinating insects for much of our food, but pollinators are declining worldwide. By building a bee hotel, you can help urban pollinators by providing a place for them to lay their eggs. The hotel is simple to build, and participants must bring their own cordless drill, extra battery & charger (if applicable), and drill bit set. In the workshop, you'll also learn more about bees and other things that you can do to protect pollinators.
