Friday, March 29, 2019 [image: SECRET CITY] EDMONTON, AB – Secret City is an audio adventure to discover the hidden side of a city. Inspired by true stories shared by residents and brought to life by local artists, each episode of Secret City is a play and a personal confession rolled into one. To create this edition of Secret City, we are seeking stories that took place in Edmonton's historic neighbourhood of Old Strathcona. Past and present residents of Edmonton are being asked to share a personal memory from a moment in their life that took place in this neighborhood. Selected memories will be used to inspire Edmonton artists to create a short audio plays for Secret City: Old Strathcona. In addition to having their story brought to life, selected memories will also receive a $50 honorarium. To be eligible, memories must be true, personal stories and should be sent in detail to secretcity.stories@gmail.com by April 30, 2019. Personal privacy of all memory holders shall be protected. Secret City is intended to be a living library of our cities, illuminating the secret side of public spaces by sharing personal stories of the people who were there. Secret City: Old Strathcona has been commissioned by Blarney Productions and will launch July 4, 2019 as part of the Found Festival. Secret City is conceived and curated by Phenomania Arts Society.
