Saturday, July 15, 2017, 8pm – 1am [image: The Sesquicentennial Parties: "Half Time"] Curated by Sarah Ormandy, "Half Time" is a performance party sporting event, featuring thrilling combinations of artist/athletes as they take to the turf and explore the performativity of sport. Come dressed for fitness and fandom. Sarah Ormandy is a performance artist, actor, and casual sports enthusiast in Edmonton. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of Alberta, a Theatre Arts Diploma from MacEwan University, and a certificate in Drama and English from the University of Winchester. Sarah is a regular improviser with Rapid Fire Theatre, a flautist in the ceLibraties, and most well known for her year long duration piece, 'I Only Wear Black Turtlenecks'. Curating "Half Time" has offered her the opportunity to explore the performativity of sport, while involving athletes of the Edmonton and surrounding community. Mile Zero Dance recognizes that the land that we call Canada and it's first peoples have been around long before Confederation, so we are bringing you FOUR different parties to celebrate as many sides of Canadianism as we can.
