10230 Jasper Ave Friday, May 26, 2017, 12 – 1pm Cree lawyer Sharon Venne will explore the history of Indian Trust Accounts - What are these Indian trust accounts? How are they linked to Treaty? And what happened to the trust accounts? Sharon Venne has played an active role in the national and international struggles of many Indigenous Peoples, including the Lubicon Cree and Dineh Nation. She has a Masters of Law degree from the University of Alberta. She is the author of the book "Our Elders Understand Our Rights: Evolving International Law" and numerous published and peer reviewed articles.
