New Music Edmonton is committed to presenting artists from our community and this concert is one of the many events in our season to highlight some of the phenomenal creative people who live in our midst. Exquisitely Lost is a concert about losing one's sense of self in space and time. The program will transport you into a dreamlike version of nature at its most fantastic, a spaceless space and a labyrinth in which everyone loses their way. There is music influenced by Kundalini meditation, transcendence, and shedding one's earthly being, plus a sonic contemplation of the night sky. Allison Balcetis and Sandra Friesen have played together and in other contexts many times in Edmonton and numerous international venues. We are honoured to host them in this outstanding compilation of music being heard in Edmonton for the first time.
