Art Gallery of Alberta 2 Sir Winston Churchill Square Tuesday, November 4, 2014, 11am – 5pm Known for her colourful and dynamic comic book illustrations, Edmonton-based artist Jill Stanton's complex compositions explore narratives that reference dream imagery, hallucinations and alternate states of consciousness. Referencing street art and DIY poster art practices and processes, Strange Dream is a large-scale mural comprised of hand-painted illustrations pasted together across all three walls of Manning Hall. The result is a dense, immersive and dreamlike forest vista.
