I just wanted to tell you a bit about this wonderful event I am hosting! My mother, Eileen Katherina Martinelli, passed away this May, from Pancreatic Cancer. I am hosting this event in her honor with the goals of raising awareness about this terrible disease and to raise money to aid finding a cure to prevent pancreatic cancer from taking the ones we love away from us. I would love for you, your friends and your family to please join me for this cause that is so dear to my heart, as well as the hearts of so many others., "The Purple Gala" will be a FORMAL event hosted at Encore in West Edmonton Mall. The owners have been so very gracious in donating the venue to us for the evening. They have also been so wonderful in allowing all proceeds raised from ticket sales to go to Pancreatic Cancer Canada with whom I partnered with for this fundraiser. I can't express how grateful I am to them for this. "The Purple Gala" will be purple themed to match the color of the Pancreatic Cancer ribbon. So feel free to incorporate the colour any way you can! November is also Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month. Oddly enough, my mother was diagnosed in November and her birthday was November 29th. Please feel free to use this fundraiser as an excuse to get all dolled up in your fanciest attire. There will be professional photographers there as well snapping beautiful photos :), The venue is donated to us for the entire evening and I plan to take full advantage! Doors will open at 8:00pm. From 9:00pm to 12:00am, there will be entertainment and performances as well as appetizers served. Upon arrival, there will be a raffle going on until midnight, We have numerous wonderful prizes that we will be drawing names for shortly after 12:00am. Tickets will be 5 for $20 or $5 each. All of these proceeds will also go to Pancreatic Cancer Canada. From 12:00am to 2:00am the dance floor will be open, ft Stephan Zaiffdeen Salvador Garcia and Kofi Amoah.
