Chinese New Year

Muttart Conservatory Ongoing through Sunday, February 24, 2013 This show is a unique collaboration between the Conservatory and the Chinese Gardening Society. It features a variety of significant flowers such as: Crysanthemums, Azaleas, Celosia, Cyclamen, Bromeliads, Camellias and Orchids. 2013 is the Year of the Snake and will officially start on the first day of the New Year containing a new moon. This festival will end 14 days later with a Lantern Festival. In Chinese astrology, the Snake symbolizes yin (feminine) energy, luck and passion.
