Share a free hug 2011

Families are invited to join Kraft Peanut Butter Bears ‘Smoothie’ and ‘Crunchy’ as they share free hugs at the West Edmonton Mall on Saturday, August 13 in an effort to relieve hunger. For each hug given, Kraft Peanut Butter will donate one jar of peanut butter to Edmonton’s Food Bank. For those who can’t make it to West Edmonton Mall, help Spread the Feeling online by visiting spreadthefeeling.ca to send a virtual hug. Whether online or in person, Kraft hopes to generate enough hugs to donate up to 10,000 jars of Kraft Peanut Butter to Edmonton’s Food Bank. Prolonged economic uncertainty and a decline in food donations during summer months mean there’s no time like the present to lend a helping hug. Since 2009, an impressive 17,175 jars of peanut butter have been donated to Edmonton’s Food Bank through the generosity and support of Edmonton residents, BUT there is still more to be done. Edmonton’s Food Bank serves approximately 15,000 people per month, and 40 per cent of their clients are children. Visit the West Edmonton Mall on August 13 to help us reach our goal of up to 10,000 hugs and 10,000 jars of Kraft Peanut Butter donated to Edmonton’s Food Bank.
